It begins with small signals: work that no longer feels aligned, relationships that are changing shape, energy that feels harder to summon, or a sense that the life you have built no longer quite matches who you are becoming. Nothing is obviously wrong, yet something beneath the surface is unmistakably shifting.
Midlife often arrives like this. It is not a crisis, though it is sometimes mistaken for one, and it is not a decline, though our culture often treats it that way. I know the feeling from the inside, both through my work and my own life. If you have felt it too and found there was nowhere to take it, this is written for you.
I am Kirstie, founder of Pause & Beyond, and I am glad to be part of the whole-person approach to wellbeing here at Pure Body Fix®. I see menopause and midlife as a threshold rather than a problem to solve. It does not need to be rushed, fixed or faced alone; it can be understood, supported and gently re-authored.
Where I come from
My background is in corporate operations and transformation leadership, in behaviour change and in redesigning how large organisations actually work. For years my role was to help businesses move through significant change, which meant understanding what was really happening beneath the stated problem and building the conditions for change that would actually last.
At first glance, that work may seem far removed from menopause and midlife coaching, but I have come to see how closely connected they are. Midlife is a transition, and transition is precisely what I spent my career learning to understand. The difference is that this time the change is not organisational but deeply human, and care and rigour matter even more when the system being reshaped is a life rather than a business.
What I bring to this work is the rigour of transformation leadership applied to one of the most significant and least supported transitions many of us will ever move through. That means helping you find structure when things feel vague, clarity when your thinking is crowded, and a way forward that is deliberate rather than reactive.
I also come to this work through lived experience, though not as a badge of honour and not because my story is yours, because it is not. My own midlife transition arrived from several directions at once: a breast cancer diagnosis, a divorce, a change of career, caring responsibilities, and a world reshaping itself around me. I know what it is to have the ground shift beneath you while you are still expected to keep running. I came through that time wanting something better than the options that seemed available to me, and that wanting is a large part of why Pause & Beyond exists.
The work I offer sits at the meeting point of professional rigour and personal understanding. I know how to guide change with structure and care, and I also know what it feels like when change arrives in your own life without a neat plan or timeline. That combination means you are met with steadiness, clarity and compassion, not rushed towards answers before you are ready.
What this work is not
It matters to me that you know what this work is not, because so much of what surrounds midlife is exactly what I have chosen to step away from.
It is not toxic positivity. I will not tell you that midlife is simply a gift, that you should be grateful, or that the right attitude will smooth everything over, because some of this is genuinely hard and you deserve to have that acknowledged rather than smoothed away.
It is not urgency-driven reinvention either. There is a whole industry built on the idea that you must remake yourself immediately and dramatically before it is somehow too late, and I find that exhausting, as I suspect you do too. There is no clock here that you are running out of time against.
Nor does this work treat midlife as something to be hurried past. So much of the wider culture frames this stage as a hurdle to clear or a decline to hold off, whereas I see it quite differently. Nothing has gone wrong; something is changing, which is a very different thing, and change asks to be understood rather than rushed.
How the work actually feels
At its heart, what I offer is space to say the thing you may not yet have words for, to notice what is shifting without rushing to tidy it away, and to be met without judgement. Alongside that, there is a process that helps turn what you notice into clear, achievable next steps, so the work does not stay vague. It becomes something you can understand, name and move through with clarity and intention.
I often describe it in three stages. First you pause, stopping long enough to see what is actually happening rather than what you assume ought to be. Then you notice, naming it, understanding it and letting it be real. From that clearer place you begin to move beyond, re-authoring what comes next on your own terms.
The aim is not a dramatic before-and-after but something steadier: a life that feels aligned and intentional, where your energy and your choices belong to the person you are becoming rather than the one you were once expected to be.
This sits naturally alongside the work already happening at Pure Body Fix. When the body is cared for, nutrition is supported and the deeper shift in identity is understood, each part strengthens the others, because you are, after all, one whole person rather than a series of separate concerns to be handed to separate people.
An invitation
If any of this has resonated, if you recognised something in that quiet shift I described at the start, then I would love to hear from you.
There is nothing you need to have worked out first. You do not need the right words, or a clear problem, or a tidy plan. A sense that something is moving, together with a willingness to pause long enough to notice it, is more than enough to begin.
